Chilham Village Hall

Home history large hall small hall green room

The capacity of the small hall varies from 50 close seated  to 40 seated at tables. Either side of the fireplace are ‘pew’ style benches, the original reason for these is unknown. There was a billiard table in the hall and maybe the benches used to run down the entire length of the hall for the players and audience.

The hall which is approximately 5 m wide and 9.5 m long, has a large closed off fireplace, an entrance lobby/cloakroom, kitchen  & toilet.

The kitchen is opposite the main entrance and has basic tea/coffee facilities.

For more details see the Floor Plan.

Lighting is  by fluorescent tube.

The toilet (not wheelchair access) is in the passageway to the left of the kitchen

Heating is supplied by 4 gas fires.
